What does the buildings address database contain?

The buildings address database includes the following information:

  • The province, county and municipality names together with their TERYT identifiers,
  • The names of the primary locality and the part of the locality, and their TERYT identifiers,
  • The street name and its TERYT identifier,
  • The building number and postal code,
  • The longitude and latitude of every building,
  • Data on the number of dwellings, the number of residents estimated by GUS, and the number of places in collective accommodation facilities,
  • Demographic data - the number of registered residents broken down into five-year age groups,
  • The number of registered companies and businesses at the address,
  • The GUS census enumeration area and district codes in which the building is located.

The database always contains current address data, updated quarterly. In its basic version, the database is built on data from GUS (the Central Statistical Office) and GUGiK (the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography); additional data (e.g. demographic or company data) comes from other official sources.

Building addresses: province, county, municipality, locality and street

Every record in the database is described unambiguously by a full address - from the province name, through the county and municipality, to the locality, street, building number and postal code. Every level of the division has a TERYT identifier assigned, which makes it easy to link the address data with other registers that use TERYT.

In addition, every building is given GUS census enumeration area and district codes as well as geographic coordinates, so you can easily plot the addresses on a map and use them in spatial analysis, as needed.

Enrich building data with information about its surroundings

We can additionally enrich the building data with information describing its surroundings - a particularly useful option for location analysis and property scoring. The available categories include, among others:

  • The number of POIs of a given type near the address,
  • The type of land around the address,
  • The number of residents and dwellings in the area,
  • The number of competitor locations within a radius of a few kilometers,
  • Access to educational facilities and nurseries,
  • Access to green spaces,
  • Access to alternative-fuel infrastructure and selected retail chains,
  • Distance from hazard areas: floods, landslides, fires and others,
  • Residents' incomes and demographic data.
