Manipulating plots

Plots can be manipulated with the mouse and keyboard in various ways, to enable panning, zooming, etc.

Manipulating 2D plots

Line and scatter plots can be manipulated by the user with the mouse. It is possible to move the charts and scale them with respect to the origin or one of the axes.

The following mouse actions can be used:

Dragging while holding the left mouse button

Panning the chart according to the mouse movement

Wheel up

Symmetric (both axes) zoom in

Wheel down

Symmetric (both axes) zoom out

Right click

Context menu display

Scaling modifications:
SHIFT

Decreases zoom sensitivity by 5x

CTRL

Scaling the Y axis only

ALT

Scaling only the X axis only

More than one modification can be applied at a time

Panning range constraints

All chart points are always displayed, so a chart cannot be panned so that some points would not invisible

Tooltips

When the mouse pointer is positioned at a point, the detailed information about it is displayed.

Manipulating 3D plots

The following mouse actions can be used:

Dragging while holding the left mouse button

Moves the camera around the point [0,0,0]. The camera distance does not change. The camera is always directed at the same point.

Dragging while holding the middle mouse button

Zooms the camera in and out.

Dragging while holding the right mouse button

Moves the camera. Viewing direction does not change.się.-->
